Eight O'Clock Sharp is a no-profit volunteer-run jazz venue, presenting intimate acoustic improvised jazz every Wednesday in the Newtown Mission Church, opposite the Dendy on King St Newtown. Music starts at 8pm. Sharp.
$30 full price, $15 concession (except very occasional special gigs which could be more)
BYO food but NOT ALCOHOL. Tea, coffee, and water provided.
Public Transport
The Newtown Mission Church is a block up King St (towards Sydney uni) from Newtown Station. These buses will drop you on the doorstep (or across King St if you’re travelling north): 352, 370, 422, 423, 426, 428, 430. Pretty much opposite the Dendy.
Parking is hard. Best bet is at the back of the Dendy or Camperdown Park. Actual best bet is bus or train.
