Elder Rights Australia is a Victorian based not-for-profit organisation established in 1990.
ERA is governed by a volunteer board of management and is the Victorian member of the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN).
We deliver the National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) and the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) in all regions across Victoria.

Elder Rights Australia promotes the human rights of all older people, and works with, and for, older people and their representatives, educating the community, advocating for, empowering and supporting older people to ensure their voice is heard on matters that concern them.

To support the human rights of all older Australians and empower them to live the life they choose. We do this by:
- Providing accessible information, advocacy, and social support to empower older people to make their own choice and maintain independence.
- Advancing and protecting the human rights of all older people and working in the wider community to empower them as valued members of society.
