Ella Jackson, affectionately known as El, is a Tasmanian designer and artisan with a deep passion for crafting leather goods by hand. After spending six months in Florence, Italy, immersing herself in the traditional art of leather handbag making, she returned to Hobart inspired and ready to share her skills with others.
El’s work is a celebration of Slow Fashion, where quality and craftsmanship come first. She creates timeless pieces using the finest leather, blending simple yet elegant design with ethical, sustainable practices. Whether it's handbags, clutches, or aprons, each item El crafts carries a story of thoughtful care and meticulous attention to detail.
As a former teacher, El brings a warm, approachable teaching style to her workshops. Her classes aren’t just about learning leathercraft—they’re about connecting with creativity and appreciating the beauty of handmade work. In her welcoming studio in Bellerive, Hobart, El guides participants of all levels through an inspiring journey of making their own leather creations.
