Kia ora e hoa,
As a Outdoor Ed, Health & PE teacher, I have been passionate about educating others how to maintain a healthy hauora.
While teaching, many young people shared their experiences & expressed their desire for support to regulate their nervous system/being.
Seeing the firsthand need to support youth wellbeing it was obvious to include their support web (friends, teachers, parents, guardians) into their learning.
Through my own experiences with anxiety, depression, & burnout I've created tools that demonstrate the skills required to handle adversity & challenges. My mission is to equip others with tools that would empower them to navigate their own mental health & other aspects of their hauora/wellbeing.
I believe that every young person & their support crew should have the tools that builds their capacity & capability to thrive. I endeavour to normalise emotions as experiences that we can masterfully navigate. The compassion & grounded presence I have as a facilitator is intended to create safe & supportive environments for others to learn, grow, feel & experience their emotions.
Woven into my practices are mindfulness, awareness training, embodiment practices, adventure therapy & Māoritanga. My approach to learning is fun, creative, interactive and empowers each person to take responsibility for their own learning balanced with supportive, empathetic, & caring nature.
It's such a pleasure to journey alongside you <3
