EmployHer Choice is an organisation, by and for migrant women. We are dedicated to supporting migrant women to overcome the multiple barriers they face when seeking relevant employment in Australia. The name reflects our dual purpose: to be the first choice for employers seeking talent and the preferred platform for migrant women pursuing meaningful work. Grounded in lived experience and community connection, we design solutions that directly address the real-world challenges faced by migrant women in the workforce.
EmployHer Choice began taking shape in 2024 as an organisation with a mission: to build the infrastructure for migrant women to be able to reclaim their careers and achieve their personal, financial, and professional goals. We aim to do this through three different streams:
For those seeking employment with mainstream employers, partnering with employers to find suitable positions and support the migrant women through their transition to employment.
For those seeking more flexibility and community from their work, hiring them directly and providing consulting services to other organisations.
For those seeking maximum flexibility, providing support to open their own businesses such as family day care, catering/food prep, or translation.
