Fern Mines is a South Australian Emerging Artist and Environmental Activist based on Kaurna Land on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
For Peach Season Fern is combining the academic understanding she is gaining through her Masters of Environmental Management at UNSW with her artistic and teaching experience to create her first environmental awareness show for children!
Since her graduation from WAAPA in 2021 Fern has established herself as an Independent Artist and educator with the Adelaide sector and developed an award-winning repertoire of cross-disciplinary works highlighting social and Environmental challenges. Fern is the co-creator of Biophilia a multidisciplinary climate awareness exhibition that won the Sustainability Adelaide Fringe award in 2023.
While studying this year Fern continues to work as a workshop facilitator and educator for Carclew, while performing and creating on a freelance basis.
