Flexible Working Scotland
Flexible Working Scotland is passionate about making work work. We help people access meaningful, fulfilling work that fits with all the other commitments and enjoyment of life. Our community has grown to almost 23,000 members and is dedicated to normalising flexible work, supporting career journeys, and advocating for greater equality at work.
About Our Founder
Flexible Working Scotland was founded by Lynn Houmdi in 2021. Alongside Flexible Working Scotland, Lynn designed and delivers Making Work Work, an award-winning suite of women returners programmes run with The Challenges Group.
Lynn was nominated Scotland’s Flex Influencer in 2022, has been called upon to give evidence on parental employability and flexible working to the Scottish Parliament, and has joined several campaigns fighting for more flexible, fairer work. She has also won a Bright Red Triangle pitching competition and a Firstport Start-It grant for Flexible Working Scotland.
Her vision is that employees are judged on the results they deliver by working when, where, and how they can make their best contribution. This is better for them, better for their families, and better for business.
