Floorwork Arts Collective believes we live in a crisis of imagination. We make theatre that changes people, sparks courageous dialogue, innovates, and empowers emerging theatre-makers. Floorwork produces collaborative, experimental, new work "from the ground up" that speaks to contemporary social issues, deconstructs hierarchies, and promotes ecological sustainability.
Years from our clown and climate mixer origins and our fated meeting over take out on an empty apartment floor, Floorwork has gone on to produce six original theatrical experiences and several themed nightlife / community events keeping their DIY heart central to their process. Where community and development are intrinsically linked, their network hosts developmental and skills-based workshops, artist mixers, accountability circles, and new play readings, to prepare for their cult-awaited main stage productions.
