The Church of Saint Michael's the Archangel, is located in the historic village of Wollombi. The building was constructed in 1840 from locally sourced, hand-hewn sandstone, and stands as an enduring testament to the area’s heritage. Originally established as a Catholic church, the building was sold by the Catholic Church in 1991. Since then, it has been lovingly maintained by the local community; The Friends of St Michael’s.
Today, St Michael's Church serves as a welcoming venue, regularly hosting non-denominational church services, weddings, and intimate boutique events. The building's preservation and ongoing use reflect the community’s commitment to maintaining this significant local site.
