Now in its seventh decade, the Fremantle Symphony Orchestra (FSO) is a vibrant community orchestra presenting up to five concerts each year at a variety of venues around Perth, Fremantle and country WA.
As a full size symphony orchestra comprising of around 60 dedicated musicians, our repertoire is wide ranging in its genre, appeal and presentation. Since our inception as the Melville Orchestral Society in 1961, the FSO has established itself in and around Perth as an adaptable and innovative group of musicians sharing a strong passion to bring music to our community. We are a non-profit organisation, run by a voluntary committee and dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of music for all.
