Garden Goodness Australia brings to you the goodness available by growing food at home. Like the logo says, "Home Grown is always best!" and we find this to be true in more ways than one.
Garden Goodness Australia family is owned businesses that grew from the roots of The Australian Worm Firm, started by SA worm farm manufacturer Peter Heidenreich. Worms require organic conditions to thrive and this has provided the bedrock on which the Garden Goodness name has been established.
Garden Goodness Smithfield was born as a few plants moved in to brighten the Worm Firm sales site at 61 Anderson Walk Smithfield. A few plants became two garden centres that operate on organic gardening principles:
Garden Goodness Smithfield - 57-59 Anderson Walk, Smithfield.
Garden Goodness Port Adelaide - 45-47 St Vincent Street, Port Adelaide.
Herbal Goodness Australia was started due to the demand for medicinal herbs and herb knowledge. A number of local growers have contributed to the expansion of the range stocked at both stores with more varieties in the pipeline. Workshops are proving a very popular outlet to share this knowledge too and we are privileged to have Danyell, a trained functional nutritionist to lead these sessions.
Garden Goodness Gardening Services (Yard Goodness) was formally commenced in 2024 to cope with the demand for training and implementing organic principles and permaculture into sites around Adelaide and country SA. Alison leads a team of dedicated workers, who share the same ideals.
