The Gawler Town Band has an incredibly rich history, spanning over 160 years, that continues to deepen each day. In 1860 the original Gawler Town Band was formed, which is now a Concert Band, with woodwind instruments (and a cello) and percussion as well as the traditional horns. Gawler Town Band participate in a variety of community events in the local Gawler area as well as participating in regional competitions like Strathalbyn and Hanhdorf.
Under the musical direction of Harrison Lange, GTB has lots of exciting performances and initiatives in store for the future both near and far, and we look forward to engaging in these and adding to the ever-expanding history of this fantastic band.
