Gilibanga is a First Nations-led movement lighting the way toward justice, truth-telling and transformative impact. It exists to centre Indigenous voices in evaluation and impact measurement, strengthen cultural capability, and support systems reform across the evaluation sector.
Grounded in community, culture and strength, Gilibanga champions evaluation that is community-led, culturally grounded and shaped by First Nations knowledge holders. Its work focuses on building a national network of First Nations evaluators and allies, delivering culturally grounded training and learning, and sharing knowledge through storytelling, research, tools and models that reflect lived experience and cultural strength.
The Gilibanga Gathering 2027 brings this movement to life by creating a dedicated space for connection, learning and collective leadership. It is an opportunity for mob, allies, researchers, evaluators, organisations and communities to come together, strengthen relationships, and walk alongside one another in support of justice, self-determination and systems change.
Together, we make light.
