Bio:
I am a Brazilian PhD student at The University of Waikato, developing a research-creation in the Screen and Media programme. I have been involved with arts since 1990, working as a multi-artist, actor, writer, publisher, storyteller, producer, entrepreneur, and owner of Zucca Books, Arts and Cultural Productions. I am particularly enthusiastic about education and creative processes. My multidisciplinary fields include graduation in Biological Sciences (UFRJ), studying Teaching Methodology (UniCamp), and master’s degree at the Postgraduate Programme in Creative Media (PPGMC/UFRJ), with the project O Livro das Capitais / The Book of Capitals. This bilingual interactive videobook received awards and nominations, especially as a tool and reading stimulus for deaf people in Brazil (https://www.olivrodascapitais.com.br). I have been writing and publishing books for children and my teenage daughter, Lara, is my greatest inspiration.
