Hailing from Brisbane and the Gold Coast of Queensland, Gladiolus is a progressive metal band taking their ambitious first steps into the world of Australian prog.
Gladiolus was born in the bedroom of Dan Hendrex with a Focusrite interface and a Fractal Audio AX8 in 2016. Over the next two years, Dan scoured Brisbane and the Gold Coast for the musicians able to do his vision justice, whilst slowly piecing together the bones of a cohesive piece of art. The result was the addition of Anson Nesci, Joe Shirley and Zak Muller. The three brought their own influences to the table and helped to further hone the already focused sound of the material.
Gladiolus are for fans of Karnivool, Opeth, TOOL, Devin Townsend, Opus of a Machine, Caligula's Horse, The Ocean and The Contortionist.
