Grave Runners & Tempo Journal Presents; “3NGRAV3D 3XHIBITION”.
Back in March this year Grave Runners was the first run crew from New Zealand to complete The Speed Project. An unsanctioned relay race from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. A team of six runners and five support crew filled an RV and Jeep to cover a 550 km journey on foot. Reaching the finish line in 51.30 hours.
As this event unfolded, we documented every step of the way with Kayle Lawson armed with multiple cameras. Walking away with 5,000 photos and 3 hours of video footage, this was no small feat. We also took over Tempo Journal’s Instagram channel providing live updates in real time while we were on the ground in the US.
To celebrate this achievement we are teaming back up with Tempo this July to host a gallery exhibition in Melbourne. This will create the opportunity for the team to reassemble, put a nice ribbon on TSP in its entirety and give the content a tangible lifespan.
This gallery exhibition titled “3NGRAV3D” will feature unreleased photos from The Speed Project, along with a film screening of our short film followed by a panel discussion with the team. We will also host a gallery opening night with a party and DJ, community run and mindfulness workshop led by support crew member Ursula Griffen.
We welcome your support and appreciate your involvement helping us bring this event to life!
