Griefline is Australia’s only national not-for-profit that offers free grief support to anyone in need. We aim to normalise the grief experience by alleviating the pressure many feel to grieve in a certain way and within a certain timeframe. Because grief is a natural and universal human emotion, we believe that everyone deserves compassion and understanding.
Griefline offers a range of services for adults aged 18+, including:
- A toll-free helpline that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year where callers can speak to trained and empathetic telephone support volunteers
- Request a callback from a trained telephone support volunteer at a time that suits you
- Online forums accessible 24/7 where members can connect with others who are going through similar experiences and share their stories, feelings and coping strategies
- Bereavement support groups facilitated by professional grief counsellors
- Grief and loss resources providing information and advice on various topics related to grief and loss
- Training and education programs that are designed to increase the awareness and understanding of grief and its impact on mental health and wellbeing
