Leonora is the service centre for mining, exploration, tourism and the pastoral industry. The Gwalia Heritage Precinct is a must see for visitors including the house commissioned by Herbert Hoover as the mine manager's house back in 1898, the mine office & assay building, the winder & timber 19th century incline headframe (the last of its kind in Australia), the Gwalia miner's camp all on top of the deepest underground mines for trucks in the whole world!
