Hannah-Jade Keppler is an award-winning 19-year-old singer-songwriter, author, playwright, director and actress who wrote her first musical at the age of 10, toured with it throughout regional WA at 11 and then won a Best Original Script at Youthfest 2017. Since then, she has written another play, published a novel, wrote two web-series, directed a number of plays, became a regular performer on CouchTV, won various awards in acting, directing, singing and composing, and wrote over 20 songs, including the soundtrack to Romeo and Juliet. Hannah-Jade graduated high school at 14 and went on to receive a Cert 3 and 4 in Music Composition and Production at Mount Pleasant College. She then joined SAE in the Bachelor of Music (Composition and Music Production) at 16. When not performing, Hannah-Jade teaches the Homeschool Drama Class at New City Theatre, teaches singing at various primary schools around Perth through Edu-Sing and teaches Religious Education at her church. Her work with mental health was recognised at the Channel 7 Young Achiever Awards where she was a semi-finalist in the category of Catholic Education Young Leadership for her work in the Prevention of Child Suicide and the Arts at the age of 15. Previously she was the RootsTV Mental Health Youth Ambassador. She has put all this knowledge together to create her own subsidiary of New City Theatre where she works closely with children and young people in nurturing their abilities while caring for their mental health.
