Founded in 2013 by the Singh family—Harinder, Maninder, Manu, and Nikki—as a heartfelt tribute to Harman Preet Singh, the Harman Foundation exists to “create hope and empower lives.” What began as a response to grief and loss evolved into a trusted support network for multicultural women and families facing domestic, sexual, and family violence in Australia.
As the only specialised support provider for these issues among South Asian and broader multicultural communities, the Foundation has supported over 2,000 families—including 100 women and 22 children—through initiatives like the HER House refuge and a wide range of grassroots, culturally sensitive services. Guided by compassion and a belief in equitable access to care, the Harman Foundation continues to build holistic, free-support systems to help vulnerable individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and safety.
