The Himalayan Trust was founded by Sir Edmund Hillary in 1`960 to give back to the people of Nepal's Everest region, who helped him climb Everest. When he asked what he could do in return, they asked for a school. He built it, and never really stopped. More than sixty years on, the Trust carries that work forward in partnership with the communities of Nepal, supporting education, health and clean water in the Khumbu.
