Māori Artist | Creative Facilitator | Founder of Tohu Art
Kia ora, I’m Hinarera Lambert, a Māori artist with over 35 years of creative experience and a passion for bringing people together through art, storytelling and connection.
My creative journey is grounded in the belief that art is more than what we make with our hands — it’s a way to express our stories, honour our memories, explore who we are and create meaningful connections with the people who matter most.
Through Tohu Art, I create opportunities for people to experience the joy of creativity in a welcoming, supportive environment. You don’t need to be an artist or have any previous experience. You simply need to come as you are and be open to the experience.
He Taonga was created from a love of preserving memories and honouring the people who have shaped our lives. Together, we’ll take time to reflect, write a heartfelt letter and create a personalised photo ornament that becomes a treasured keepsake for Christmas and beyond.
My hope is that you leave with more than something beautiful you’ve made. I hope you leave feeling connected to your story, carrying a special memory and reminded of the precious taonga that people are in our lives.
I look forward to welcoming you.
Haere mai, nau mai — come and create something meaningful.
