Holly Rae (they/she) is a queer, disabled writer, community organizer, and somatic practitioner, weaving together embodied activism, poetic inquiry, eco-kinship, and the revolutionary act of rest. A single parent who treats astrology as a tool of growth and connection and parenting as a micro-practice of abolition, they believe scholarship and street-level change must breathe through the same body.
With a background in Critical Race, Gender, and Sexuality (BA, Cal Poly Humboldt) and English (MA), her research and facilitation focus on the embodiment of change—how our bodies know how to survive and embrace moments of change, and politicized grief—how mourning personal and systemic losses can become thresholds for transformation. Holly is always deepening their work in somatic knowledge toward strategies for resistance movements, where personal inquiry meets direct action and nervous system care meets collective liberation. What if the most radical thing we can do is to listen to our bodies?
