The Homicide Victims' Support Group (Aust) Ltd - HVSGAL - is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting families and individuals affected by the traumatic loss of a loved one due to homicide. Established in 1993, the group provides specialised services, emotional support, advocacy, and resources to help victims navigate their grief and the legal system. It plays a vital role in offering a safe community where people can share experiences with others who have faced similar tragedies.
It was established when the parents of Anita Cobby and Ebony Simpson recognised the very real need to set up an organisation which could offer counselling, support and information to families & friends of homicide victims.
