Hopeful Disruptions is a small and fluid group of friends, artists, musicians and makers. The core group is four people:
Deborah Taylor, a Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung woman and a painter
Rochelle Summerfield a multimedia artist with a base in drawing and printmaking
Tracy Pateman, a silversmith and small metalworker
Will Rodgers, a musician, cheesemaker, and audio-ecologist
We are connected and inspired by a practical culture of care for Country that involves on-ground cultural and environmental work. Hopeful Disruptions is long-running, cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary and collaborative. We do on-ground work together, on our own and with community. This on-ground and practical work is in reciprocal exchange with our creative practice.
