Amanda Dziedzic and Laurel Kohut co-founded HotHaus Glass Studio in 2019, establishing
the studio from the ground up, including the creation of their own hot glass furnace. HotHaus
is a fully operational glass studio that produces exhibition works, glass production ware such
as homewares and lighting, as well as manufacturing for other designers. Additionally,
HotHaus offers public classes and has collaborated on large-scale commissioned projects in
partnership with institutions such as Monash University, the Melbourne Film Festival, Dulux,
The Design Files, and Craft Victoria.
In addition to its diverse output, HotHaus offers an annual residency program for emerging
glass artists and recently expanded to include masterclasses for professionals in the field. The
studio fosters a culture of growth and experimentation, with the goal of becoming a
distinguished institution dedicated to the advancement and preservation of glass as an artistic
medium.
