Why Vern and I are Passionate About Supporting The Forgotten Women
Every year people ask us why we do the Live Like Her Challenge.
The answer is pretty simple.
Vern and I spend every day helping people buy homes. We get to hand over keys, celebrate new beginnings and watch families create a future in a place they can call their own. It's honestly one of the best parts of what we do.
But it also reminds us that not everyone has that security.
The Forgotten Women shines a light on something many people don't realise is happening right here in Australia. More and more women over 55 are finding themselves homeless or living with housing insecurity through no fault of their own. A relationship breakdown, illness, losing a partner or simply not having enough super can completely change someone's future.
That really hit home for us.
It could be someone's mum, sister, aunt, neighbour or friend.
No one should spend their later years worrying about where they're going to sleep.
This is now ourfourth yeartaking part in the Live Like Her Challenge, and every year we're reminded just how generous our community is. Our clients, family and friends always get behind us, and together we've been able to raise money for an incredible cause.
As a family business, we believe success isn't just measured by how many properties we buy. It's measured by the impact we have on the people around us.
If we're lucky enough to spend our days helping people find homes, then we also have a responsibility to support those who don't have one.
With the end of the financial year almost here, we're asking if you'd consider making a donation. Every donation before 30 June is tax deductible, but more importantly, it helps women who genuinely need support.
Whether it's $20 or $200, every donation matters.
To everyone who has supported us over the past four years—thank you. It means more than you'll ever know.
And if this is your first year donating, welcome. We'd love to have you on the journey with us.
Much love,
Jade & Vern
