Iliana Contos is a creative arts therapist, embodiment practitioner and multidisciplinary artist known for her soulful, body‑centred approach to expression and presence. Her work is tender, rhythmic and richly sensuous. The Art of It is her sanctuary, a renaissance of soulful creativity. The Meraki Method is her signature therapeutic process, a pathway guided by wonder and love.
She has performed and practiced for over fifteen years across Melbourne and New York City – in creative industries, community organisations, social impact spaces and clinical environments. From wellness studios to film sets, from residential care to not-for-profits, and all the way to the classrooms of Rikers Island, her work has moved through many diverse landscapes. Her multi-disciplinary experience stems from the desire to innovate beyond existing systems. Or perhaps it’s because she’s an Aquarian, with a penchant for the non-conformist.
Drawing from her acting background and extensive therapeutic studies, Iliana leads spacious, attuned and grounded environments that dissolve expectations, invoke worlds within worlds and usher the pleasures of being fully alive. She is informed by the subtle yet powerful terrains of emotion, imagination and inner knowing – where the raw, the complex and the joyful can coexist. Rooted in her Hellenic and Anatolian heritage, and enriched by her love of philosophy and poetry, her work offers an imaginative path to presence and sensuality.
“My greatest joy is to share how it feels to fall in love with life – over and over again.”
