monica's Short Bio
Monica, (PDA, PhD, BMC® IDME & Practitioner). is a dedicated somatic movement therapist and ecological embodiment and dance artist practitioner and educator. Her wish is to help people to develop a deep sense of embodiment and connect with the knowledge of the moving body that everyone has within themselves. Mother of 11 y.o. daughter, dance artist and movement director; she creates performances and performs in both the UK and internationally, engaging in artistic-environmental projects within the community. She also offers outdoor sessions of somatic movement and nature connection, through which she aims to cultivate ecological embodiment, and a shared sense of collective care rooted in our connection to the natural world. Her approach is centered on creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all. Monica continuously expands her understanding of the body, voice, rhythm, and ecology, striving to develop multidisciplinary and inclusive approaches in the performing arts, education and movement therapy. Monica is a professional member of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association ISMETA and BMCA Body-Mind Centering® practitioner.
