Ipswich Threads is a RADF sponsored project funded by Queensland Government and Ipswich City Council.
The project aims to celebrate Ipswich’s Woollen Mills, founded 150 years ago, by bringing the mills rich heritage alive through workshops, poetry and a collaborative art exhibition .

The project is being co-curated by Janis Hanley, PhD, and Deborah Baronas. Janis’s doctoral research focused on Ipswich’s woollen textile industry. Deborah Baronas is a Rhode Island artist and former textile designer with US and European mills.
