Imagine Iredell United is a comprehensive program developed in partnership with multiple Iredell County Service Groups designed to support nonprofits and other organizations in completing vital projects that benefit the community. Through financial assistance, mentorship and skilled volunteer services, in-kind hands-on work, and other resources the program aims to empower those in need to achieve their goals and make a lasting impact in the communities they serve.
Once a year, agencies may apply to the program, explaining their needs and breaking down the project per the application guidelines. From there, a committee of Service Group members will review applications and select the annual recipient and project.
Once a project is chosen and assessed, the committee will distribute the details to their own Service Group members as well as publicly share the opportunity to participate, asking for sponsorship commitments for a portion of the project. Sponsorships can exist in the form of hands-on work done by the group itself (skilled or unskilled), donations of goods needed, funds for purchasing project-based materials, or other things as defined. Project planning with the recipient and the sponsoring Service Groups will be coordinated by the committee, such as timeframe for work to start, what materials are needed and a goal for completion. (Sponsorship and participation by all local Service Groups is welcomed and encouraged each year, but not required).
Iredell Civic Community United is dedicated to empowering nonprofits and other organizations to drive positive change and address pressing needs within our communities. By providing support and assistance through this innovative partnership, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families. Together, we can build stronger, more resilient communities for generations to come.
