Soprano Janet Hattam graduated with a Bachelor of Music (classical voice performance), from The Flinders’ Street School of Music in 2001 studying under mezzo-soprano Guila Tiver. For ten years, Janet was a student of Thomas Edmonds - one of Australia's best-known lyric tenors and is currently learning from his wife principal mezzo soprano for Opera Australia, Elizabeth Campbell.
In addition to teaching voice for over twenty years (both privately and at specialist music schools), Janet is a freelance performer, producer and comedy writer, who performs as a guest soloist in and around Adelaide. @DameHat is also an advocate for Disability in the Arts. #MSConnections
"This clever show is pulled together by the cheeky and highly likable Janet Hattam, who works through a demanding set of difficult and sometimes reassembled songs with appealing and earthy panache"
