Often art is emulating life.
Where we begin, is not where we end.
Janice Oliver's first career as an agricultural scientist provides fodder over the past seven years for her burgeoning art practice.
Science, and now her art, inspires curiosity and experiments with processes, materials, colours and textures. Fertiliser, plaster, recycled paper, plant-based inks, soil pigments, salt, glass and aluminium are just some of the materials she uses.
Janice enjoys sharing her sustainable agriculture, permaculture and art making practices through leading community workshops and engaging with community through community gardens and artist-in-residence programs.
