The Jazmourian Ensemble explores the historical links between ancient Iranian and early music in the west. Their music also deeply engages with nature, and the dialogues which arises naturally from sharing this beautiful world.
As Ensemble-in-Residence at the ANU School of Music, they teach creativity, improvisation and interdisciplinary work such as working with ceramics. Their regular student ensemble, in which undergraduate students develop the confidence to create and improvise using the principles of Iranian improvisation practice, is called the Songroads Ensemble.
