Adventure Lover ~ Dancer ~ Yoga Teacher ~ Mumma Bear ~ Custodian of the Earth
Jenny grew up in New Zealand as a dancer, yogi, avid hiker, horse rider, mountain biker and all round lover of the wild outdoors. At university, she studied Environmental Management and Land-Use Planning and developed a particular interest in the ways that Indigenous peoples connect to place. Having travelled extensively, Jenny is now embracing closer-to-home adventures as a full-time mum with her young family.
Jenny currently teaches Pre and Post Natal Yoga for Shine Yoga, on the Sunshine Coast.
"As a mother of two young boys, my yoga moves on and off the mat in a totally new way. Yoga helps me find balance between strength and fluidity, movement and stillness, community and solitude, mindfulness and playfulness.
My aim in teaching is to provide a safe and inviting space to explore natural movement and alignment principles, breath patterns and mindful connection to ourselves and the world around us."
Jenny is passionate about finding ways to return to the joy and wisdom within our own bodies and within each new moment.
"Time spent in nature, moving my body, in the company of supportive and loving people is never wasted! It always shifts my overall state of wellbeing (mind, body and spirit)... giving me expanded perspective on life, renewing my sense of vitality and wellness, and reminding me of who I am, my resilience and my capacity to more skillfully navigate life."
