Jewelz — the Hoola Doola of Destination Death — is a queer multidisciplinary performance artist, death literacy advocate, and end-of-life guide using creativity and connection to open up conversations we often avoid.
Drawing on her background as a travel planner, tour leader, hoopologist, performance artist, and death doula, she is now spinning us toward the ultimate journey — the one we all take, but rarely plan for.
Through Cark It Café: Creative Conversations on Death & Dying for LGBTIQ+, Jewelz creates safe, inclusive spaces where community members (and their allies) can explore death, dying, and end-of-life planning through memento mori workshops, art, poetry, music, weaving, and storytelling.
With hoop in hand and heart wide open, she hoops to help people face the end not with fear — but with creativity, clarity, and kindness.
