Jin Sheng Music is a Sydney-based Chinese traditional music organisation founded by pipa soloist and educator Jinqi Guo. We present concerts and events featuring the pipa alongside other Western and Chinese traditional instruments, with programs that range from classic repertoire to world premieres of new contemporary works, and fun arrangements of well-known classics.
Our name, 金声 (jīn shēng), means "golden sound." It reflects what we care about most: music that is refined, warm, and moving to hear live, whether you grew up with these instruments or are hearing them for the first time.
