Jo has spent 35 years on a journey into the psychology and embodiment of love — body, heart, mind and spirit.
Guided by Zen Buddhism teachers, tantric and hatha yoga masters, and intimacy experts, she has sat with Tibetan Rinpoche, Swazi tribeswomen, Persian belly dancers, scientists, and movie stars.
She's facilitated wellness programs, worked as a nervous system regulation specialist, lived in Bali performing rituals with High Priestess Ida Resit, and as a clinician at The Yoga Barn.
Jo has walked ancient country with Arnhem Land and Bundjalung Elders, learning bush medicine and women's lore, and gathered wisdom from her own life, from marriage and motherhood to menopause.
With a Master's in Clinical Sexology and qualifications in sex education and couples therapy, Jo blends science on hormones, the nervous system, vagal tone, and psychosexual health with deep somatic and energetic practices to help women reconnect sexuality with the land, lineage, and nervous system.
Here she answers the questions women in perimenopause, postmenopause, and midlife are asking about desire, disconnection and emowerment.
