Hi, I'm Joan Pease MP.
I’m honoured to represent our Bayside community
as your State Member for Lytton.
I'm a committed local.
I’ve lived in our Bayside for over thirty years with my husband Peter, raising our two children.
During that time, I have been a committed volunteer for Nursing Mothers, the Wynnum BUGS Rugby Club, Bulimba Hockey and various local schools and kindergartens.
As a former small business owner, I know the importance of our hard-working small business community. I am currently the Shadow Minister for Small Business, Customer Service and Open Data.
I am grateful to be the patron of the Wynnum Manly Historical Association, the Wynnum Manly Yacht Club, the Bayside Woodturners and Woodcrafters Club, the Wynnum Choral Society and the Bayside Eastern District Orchid Society.
I care about our Bayside's future.
Equality of opportunity is important to me. I see the policy-making process as an important way to build a better future for all.
In the last decade, I’ve worked hard to deliver community services and infrastructure.
My achievements include the new Wynnum Manly Community Health Centre, the Ambulance Station in Wynnum West, the Lindum Station Accessibility Upgrade, Darling Point Special School and Manly State School Big Builds, and many more.
But there’s still more to do. I want to work to expand local health services, like publicly available dialysis and x-ray machines and ensure that major infrastructure projects like the Lindum Level Crossing Upgrade are completed.
Our Bayside is a great place to live, work and raise a family.
I will continue to work hard each and every day to
ensure it remains that way.
