Founding Partner of Electro Ventures, Co-Founder and Innovation Director of Electro.Aero, Electro Nautic, Electro Base, and AquaFlights. Josh has nearly two decades of experience developing and commercializing electric propulsion and autonomous systems. He is an entrepreneur and robotics engineer who has specialized in electric propulsion technologies.
Josh founded Electro.Aero to help safely propel the sustainable aviation industry, through developing and commercializing electric charging systems for aircraft development partners, including electrical management systems and other propulsion sub-systems. Josh also founded the SAE AE-7D committee for aircraft charging standards in 2018 and was Chair until 2022.
Electro Nautic was born from exploring the opportunity to employ Electro.Aero's technology and team in the watercraft propulsion sector, asking the question: why push a draggy hull through the water when you can fly over it on hydrofoils? The WaveDrive active stability controlled hydrofoil electric propulsion systems achieve this and more, revolutionizing the watercraft industry!
Electro Base solves the grid limitations for electric vehicle fleet charging, by providing containerized grid-independent solar DC charging solutions for fleets where AC power is limited and a zero-emissions target has been set.
Josh is an Australian innovation leader in multidisciplinary design-optimized aerodynamics, electric propulsion, and control systems. He has presented at TEDxPerth, been recognized in HolonIQ's top 100 Climate Tech companies in Australia/NZ, Anthills Top Smart 100, was nominated as Young Manufacturer of the Year, and won Curtin Alumni's Innovation Award.
