Not the Enoughness celebrators!
I've celebrated enoughness with a variety of groups since training with the wonderful Dr Rick Hanson in 2018. His approach of enoughness, of savouring small good experiences, rang a bell for me.
I’ve been teaching meditation since the late 1980s, and I’ve long been puzzled at how our supposedly-hedonistic society also frowns upon enjoyment. Particularly in the yoga and meditation world. No pain no gain? Really?
At the enjoyathon we turn the push-and-strive mentality on its head. We look out for the small, unexpected, usually un-noticed moments of daily life and inspire the bejeekers out of each other.
It's fun. It's meaningful. It boosts happiness and contentment.
And yeah, a spot of quiet reflection and meditation too.
