Kahi Simon Fund is a community led initiative partnering with the Lake Macquarie & Newcastle Suicide Prevention Network, created in honour of Kahi Simon, with a mission to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention. The fund works to highlight gaps within the mental health system and supports the creation of safe, welcoming spaces where the individuals can access real support.
Through advocacy, community connection and fundraising, the Kahi Simon Fund helped establish the Evolve Mental Health & Wellbeing Hub in Charlestown - a safe, supportive space offering connection, early intervention, and access to support. The fund remains dedicated to reducing the stigma, promoting early support and ensuring no one feels alone in their struggle.
