I’m Keshiya, but most people call me Kesh. For over eight years, I’ve been lucky enough to be a primary school teacher and early childhood educator, witnessing the joy and wonder of young minds blossom. Like everyone else, I’ve also had times when life threw some curveballs my way. Years ago, I faced challenges that felt overwhelming, and I didn’t quite know how to reach out for support. So I did what I could – I kept going, focusing on the good things.
What truly became my anchor during those times was the practice of gratitude and the grounding strength I found through yoga. It was so transformative that I decided to deepen my understanding by completing a 200-hour Yoga teacher training in Bali. Since then, I’ve been offering yoga classes in Adelaide, Australia, with the goal of helping women navigate the many changes in their lives and embrace their next chapter with confidence and grace.
Growing up, hospitality was ingrained in my family. Back in Sri Lanka, my parents built their lives around tourism, treating every guest with warmth and making them feel like family. From a young age (around ten!), I’d help out at our family-run boutique hotel, welcoming guests with a big smile. Witnessing my parents’ dedication to creating a haven for others ignited a spark within me.
This deep connection to hospitality, combined with the profound impact of yoga and well-being work on my life, led me to wellness tourism, where I create workshops and retreats in Australia and Sri Lanka.
Here, I get to share the tools of yoga asana, breath work and meditation with amazing women like you, on the cusp of exciting new chapters. Together, we can navigate life’s complexities with greater resilience and joy.
