Marisa has been teaching into agriculture degrees at Australian universities since 1998 progressing through a range of different roles at University of Melbourne, University of Queensland and La Trobe. She's driven course redevelopments and new teaching initiatives at UQ including complete overhauls of agronomy courses (including industry involvement and hands-on field-based practicals) and co-developed a field agronomy course at La Trobe. Both UQ and La Trobe courses involve mixed learning and teaching modes of practice for internal and external students. Marisa is currently the course coordinator of the Bachelor of Agriculture at La Trobe as well as the subject coordinator and lecturer in AGR3FCA Field Crop Agronomy. She has been part of the Australian College of Deans of Agriculture Teaching and Learning Academy for the past six years.
