Leah Rowe is a Somatic Energy Therapist, Somatic Dance Facilitator, Sound Ceremonialist, and Transformational Space Holder whose work invites participants into deep embodied listening through presence, movement, sound, sensation, and subtle awareness.
Leah’s journey into Somatics began through Embodied Yoga, where she developed a strong foundation in anatomy, breath, nervous system regulation, and conscious movement. This grounding continues to inform her Somatic work, allowing her to guide participants and clients skilfully into states of relaxation, receptivity, and embodied presence.
She trained as a Somatic Energy Therapist with the Contemporary Healing Institute while simultaneously serving as an assistant within the training space, supporting the facilitator and participants alike. Since the program’s inception in 2023, Leah has returned to assist on several Somatic Energy Therapy trainings, deepening her capacity to work with energy, sensation, and the relational field with integrity and nuance.
Leah has completed over 500 hours of Somatic Dance Teacher Training with Somatic Dance International, both as a student and assistant, bringing a refined somatic lens to her Somatic Sound Journeys and her weekly Somatic Inquiry classes for women. Her classes, events and 1:1 sessions are not passive experiences, but intentional, body-led explorations that weave vibration, breath awareness, imagery, sound and movement to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and expanded states of consciousness.
She is a core member of Dance Temple Ngāmotu and regularly collaborates with other like-minded facilitators to co-create spaces of ritual, ceremony, and transformation. Leah’s work honours the body as an intelligent instrument of perception and healing, inviting participants to soften into listening and remembering their innate capacity for regulation, resonance, and connection.
