For 100 years, Legacy has honoured a simple promise: to look after the families of our veterans.
Legacy is a unique Australian voluntary not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the families of Australian Defence Force veterans who have served in war, peacekeeping, and humanitarian missions, and who have died or become incapacitated during service or afterwards.
Through social activities, case management support, and essential services, Legacy provides practical help where it matters most. Our support includes education expenses and dental care for young people, holiday respite, social work support, assistance with utility bills, pension and claims advice, financial counselling, and legal guidance. For many young people, this support is vital, improving their opportunities for education, careers, and long-term wellbeing.
Today, we remain committed to ensuring no dependant of a veteran ever faces social or financial disadvantage. We stand with families for life, supporting thousands across South Australia and Broken Hill.
