Let’s Rethink Renewables is a network of concerned Australians who are united against the Government’s reckless rollout of industrial renewable projects in regional and rural communities.
Renewable energy has consequences.
We are told that Australia’s transition to a ‘green energy future’ is a positive and smart solution, which will transition us into a ‘renewable energy superpower’.
Unfortunately, the reality is far from the glitzy marketing messaging and virtue signaling policies of pro-renewable politicians and companies. Wind, solar, high-voltage transmission lines and towers, pumped hydro and industrial battery energy storage system (BESS) projects have consequences.
The majority of these consequences are being felt by our regional communities. They are ‘out-of-sight and out-of-mind’ for city people who support and vote for pro-renewable advocates.
Let’s Rethink Renewables is driven to highlight these consequences. As bulldozers march across our rural landscapes and solar panels carpet our productive farmland, the costs of renewables projects are mounting.
We believe our landscapes, productive farmland and native wildlife are worth protecting, but once they are gone, they are gone for good.
Will you join us in this fight?
