Linda Nye is a Contemporary Landscape Painter. She users her Art to illustrate the unique Australian Landscapes.
Linda lives in the quaint town of Tenterfield nestled in the New England Ranges. It provides her with endless inspiration with its granite boulder outcrops, cool winters and its colourful Autumn, often feature in many of her works.<b>She is also fond of creating a storyline, by portraying life on the land and stories of long forgotten people, and the harsh landscape they lived in.
Linda's love of painting started after completing a two-year Arts Certificate through TAFE. She has been practicing her craft using acrylics and oils. Her paintings are not photographs, but creations that reflect the environment. She loves to experiment with colour and texture, which has created her unique painting style.
Linda has exhibited extensively throughout the New England area, is a regular exhibitor with Borderline Arts Group, is a member and permanent exhibitor with the Artist Collective Gallery, Tenterfield, and recently won Best inn Show at the Armidale Art Prize 2025 and 1st Stanthorpe Local Art Prize 2023.
