The Little Tin Local Gallery presents bimonthly curated programs that balance emerging and established artists. With a focus on contemporary practice, the Gallery fosters experimentation and imagination, a joy of colour and highlights the beauty and mystery of art. The overall look and atmosphere of the Gallery is modern, bold, clean and understated.
The Little Tin Local Gallery values are to
· support emerging talent,
· champion artistic excellence,
· encourage dialogue and storytelling,
· promote accessibility through viewing, consideration and discussion of ideas and challenges,
· create a space for critical thinking,
· nurture artistic development and audience engagement through connecting artists, collectors and members of the community with an interest to better understand beauty and mystery in art.
The Galleries focus on emerging talent reflects our commitment to building a home for artists who are trying to establish their work in galleries or extend their reach beyond community events. Work from emerging artists is hung alongside established artists work - accentuating art as an expression of each individuals vitality and perspective.
Community Engagement
The Little Tin Local Gallery is committed to a model of artist and community engagement that supports fun, discussion and learning.
Opportunities for discussion and debate
· between artists,
· between artists and the wider community and
· between art leaders and the wider community,
will be facilitated by Little Tin Local Gallery staff. These discussions will be held as Question-and-Answer sessions that are welcoming and interactive – a setting for discovery and a destination for people to engage and learn more about the beauty of art and its presentation and/or debate on current art themes.
