The Lake Macquarie Dockers Australian Football Club, established in 1997 as the Macquarie Magpies, has evolved into a vibrant community hub for Australian Rules Football enthusiasts in New South Wales. Initially donning the Adelaide Crows’ colors to unify their junior and senior teams, the club embraced a significant transformation in 2012 by partnering with the Fremantle Dockers. This alliance introduced the Fremantle playing strip and club colours, symbolising a new era of growth and alignment with an AFL powerhouse.
Nestled near Newcastle, the club actively participates in the Black Diamond Football League, renowned as one of the strongest country leagues in the state.
